Workshops
I am now offering private 1 or 2 person clay workshops in my backyard studio!
Teaching is one of the greatest joys of my life. I adore being in community with others while sharing my love for the art & craft of pottery. In my teaching, I seek to help my students meet their goals for taking the class, and to connect with them personally - wherever they are in their artistic journey.
I have taught students of all ages - from pre-K to the elderly. I have taught full-time high school ceramics for over 10 years, while also teaching adult classes at local community studios. I have a BFA from VCU in Painting & Printmaking and a MAE from VCU in Art Education.
In addition to teaching multi-week workshops at the Visual Art Center of Richmond, am currently offering 1 and 2 day workshops out of my private backyard studio! Due to the small space, these workshops are for two people max (a great bonding experience with a family member, friend, or spouse!)
Prices / Offerings:
- 1 day Workshop: 2 person workshops in pottery wheel, hand-building or sculpture. You make it - I finish & glaze for you with a simple clear coat: $130 ($65/person)*
- 2 day Workshop: 2 person workshops in pottery wheel, hand-building, or sculpture. You make it on the first day, then come back two weeks later to paint/glaze your piece with an array of color options!: $230 (115/person)*

*price includes all materials. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up no more than two weeks after the 2nd class.
*price is the same for partners or solo participants, although solo participants will get a $20 materials discount
